Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis is seeking a Registered Nurse to act as a consistent care coordinator across the care continuum. You will assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs, coordinating education and resources to support families and improve the care experience.

The role requires TN RN licensure and BLS; hospital-based practice includes developing workflows, documenting care, and performing clinical procedures.

Qualifications

• RN license in Tennessee (TN Board of Nursing) and BLS certification.
• 0–1 year of registered nursing experience; clinical nursing 1–3 years preferred.

Performs clinical procedures within the scope of nursing practice and clinical training. May perform telephone duties within the scope of RN role. Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledgeable of system's health resources in order to navigate the patient to appropriate care. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a desire to problem solve, and strong conflict resolution abilities. Strong computer skills. Must be a role model in customer service and patient care. Displays sensitivity and compassion.

Physical Demands

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact. Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials. Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
