Registered Nurses are directly responsible for patient care during procedures and indirectly responsible for coordination and information sharing of both pre- and post-procedural care. RNs exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills. They are expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the physician.
