Job summary

Campo Behavioral Health, LLC seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under New Mexico's Developmental Disabilities Waiver services. You will perform nursing assessments, monitor health needs, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to promote person-centered care.

The position involves on-call nights and weekend coverage on a rotating basis, with opportunities for professional growth and continued education.

Qualifications

  • Current New Mexico RN license in good standing.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to complete required background checks and screenings.
  • Experience with medication administration, staff training, chronic health conditions, or community-based nursing is preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete nursing assessments and develop individualized healthcare plans.
  • Monitor medical conditions, medications, treatments, and ongoing healthcare needs.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, guardians, case managers, and team members.
  • Review physician orders and medical documentation.
  • Provide medication administration training and healthcare education to staff.
  • Monitor staff compliance with medication administration and medical protocols.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and medical appointments as needed.
  • Follow up on physician recommendations, labs, hospital visits, and condition changes.
  • Guide staff on medical concerns, symptoms, incidents, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist with developing medical emergency plans and health protocols.
  • Ensure nursing services comply with NM DD Waiver standards and state regulations.

Job description

Developmental Disabilities Services Campo Behavioral Health, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through New Mexicos Developmental Disabilities Waiver services. This position is ideal for a nurse who values person-centered care and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals receiving Supported Living and Customized Community Supports services.

Position Responsibilities
  • Complete nursing assessments and assist with developing individualized healthcare plans.
  • Monitor individuals medical conditions, medications, treatments, and ongoing healthcare needs.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, guardians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Review physician orders, medical documentation, medication administration records, and health-related reports.
  • Provide medication administration training and healthcare education to direct support professionals.
  • Monitor staff compliance with medication administration requirements and medical protocols.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and medical appointments when needed.
  • Follow up on physician recommendations, laboratory results, hospital visits, and changes in medical condition.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding medical concerns, symptoms, incidents, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist with developing medical emergency response plans and health-related protocols.
  • Ensure nursing services comply with New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Waiver standards, agency policies, and applicable state regulations.
  • Advocate for the health, safety, dignity, independence, and individual rights of each person served.
Pay and Hours
  • -Paid on call nights and weekends every other week.
Minimum Qualifications
  • -Current New Mexico Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • -Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • -Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • -Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • -Ability to complete required background checks and employment screenings.
  • Experience with medication administration, staff training, chronic health conditions, or community-based nursing is preferred.
  • -Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred, but qualified nurses who are willing to learn the Developmental Disabilities Waiver system are encouraged to apply.
