Job summary

The Recovery Village Indianapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift coverage in a detox/behavioral health setting. The role involves educating patients, administering medications, and coordinating care with the leadership team to ensure treatment success.

You should have an active Indiana RN license, at least an Associate’s degree in nursing, and ideally 2 years of RN experience with a behavioral health background.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• RN license in Indiana (active/in good standing).
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• Minimum two years’ RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete medical records within required timeframes after admission.
• Administer medications and monitor detoxification as indicated.
• Transcribe physician orders and implement medical protocols.
• Coordinate with medical staff and external resources.
• Document services reflecting Licensure standards for each patient.
• Assess medical and psychiatric needs to determine urgency and expedite treatment.
• Communicate health concerns to appropriate personnel and follow up.
• Educate patients about medications and health issues.

FT Night position available,$3/hr Night Shift Differential

Advanced Recovery Systems is a trusted, physician-led behavioral healthcare company dedicated to providing evidence-based, expert care for addiction and mental health conditions. We work with health care providers, organizations and individuals to connect those in need to life-saving addiction treatment and mental health support that repairs lives, families and the surrounding communities.

The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. 71 beds, 15 beds for Detox, 34 beds for Residential, and 22 beds for Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Treatment.

The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

Job Duties:

• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.
• Ability to administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Ability to transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient determine the urgency of their needs and expedite treatment is required.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Schedule: 3/12-hour shifts

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
