Position Title: Full-time Weekend On-Call RN RUNNER

(Shift begins at 4:30PM on Friday and ends at 8:00AM Monday)

DUTIES Of The On-Call Nurses

• Remain available during assigned shifts to receive telephone calls from the Triage Nurse.
• Be able to respond to all calls within 20 minutes.
• Make home visits as directed by the Triage Nurse.
• Perform assessment of patients visited and derive nursing diagnosis based on assessment data.
• Assess the need for hospice aide services.
• Assess and provide pain management strategies to assist with the patient’s comfort.
  
  

Position Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Licensed registered nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; home health or hospice nursing preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Proof of liability insurance.
• Proof of reliable transportation.
