Paradigm Healthcare in Houston, TX is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team. This full-time role provides direct nursing care in line with the nurse practice act and facility policies, coordinating with physicians and staff to deliver resident-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold Texas RN licensure, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and 2+ years in long‑term care; knowledge of PointClickCare is a plus.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license (unencumbered)

• 2+ years Long-Term Care experience preferred
• 6 months rehab/restorative nursing experience preferred
• Strong verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per nurse practice act and facility policies.
• Plan and direct delivery of resident care per physician orders and guidelines.
• Adhere to facility policies and protect patient privacy.
• Provide prompt emergency support, including CPR.
• Develop daily assignments and assist supervision as needed.
• Ensure nursing staff perform to established standards and log off unattended workstations.
• Oversee nursing aides and coordinate with staff to maintain policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the nurse practice act, federal and state regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgment.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s plan of care in accordance with current physician’s orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
• Have knowledge of and utilize the facility’s written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Be compliant with the policies and privacy of the facility and each patient.
• Provides prompt emergency support measures, including CPR.
• Develop daily work assignments and unit assignments, and/or assist nursing supervisory staff in completing and performing such tasks.
• Ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Ensure that departmental computer workstations left unattended are properly logged off.
• Oversee nurse aides and communication with and oversight of nursing home staff to ensure that specific policies, procedures, and systems are maintained correctly as it relates to the department.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, and attention to details.
