Job summary

Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Registered Nurse for a short stay medical/surgical unit. This role offers a sign-on bonus and a supportive mentoring/precepting program to help you grow skills across a wide patient mix.

Qualifications

• Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN.
• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.
• Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

This unit primarily focuses on short stay (1-2 days) medical/surgical patients. This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients, or an experienced nurse who enjoys caring for patients who move through their hospital stay quickly. We have a great mentoring/precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth to support you in your nursing goals.
