Job summary

Wayne Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric care team. Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• Prior pediatric, family practice, or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills with children and caregivers.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, growth measurements, and developmental screenings.
• Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments per physician orders and pediatric protocols.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
• Educate parents and caregivers on child health, immunizations, medication administration, and home care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Triage patient phone calls and messages, providing guidance within scope of practice.
• Coordinate referrals, lab work, and follow-up care with families and specialists.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly clinical environment.
• Respond calmly and effectively to pediatric emergencies.
• Collaborate with the care team to support quality improvement initiatives.
