Colorado Springs Cardiology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in caring for patients with cardiac conditions. You will observe, assess, and record patient data, administer medications, perform EKGs, and educate patients and families on treatment plans.

2 years RN experience in a clinical setting is required, along with EMR proficiency and willingness to travel to local offices. A valid RN license and HIPAA compliance are required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel to local offices.

Responsabilités

• Observe and record patient behaviors; Collect patient health history.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests, such as EKGs or apply and download Holter monitors.
• Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans.
• Administer medication, change wound dressings, and care for other treatment options.
• Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate.
• Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients.
• Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes.
• Support emergency response as needed.
• Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results in the appropriate EMR or record, also accesses and obtains records from various hospital EMR.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential and in compliance with HIPAA.
• Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, if applicable.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Actively works towards positive interdepartmental care coordination to create the most effective patient experience possible.
• RNs placed in cardiac diagnostics will supervise stress testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical practice environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel to local offices

Desired Qualifications

• 3+ years in a clinical practice environment
• Direct experience in Cardiac or Vascular Healthcare
• Experience with EMR

Physical Requirements

This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.

Work is performed in typical medical practice.
