Job summary

The Overlook in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead the team in providing holistic, resident-centered clinical care and habilitative support in activities of daily living, guided by servant leadership and compliant with state and federal regulations.

You will coordinate the interdisciplinary team, develop comprehensive care plans, delegate tasks, supervise care delivery, and document outcomes to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, active RN license in Massachusetts.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current IV certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents daily and on condition changes to determine holistic health status and identify unmet needs.
• Determine resident care choices and ensure they are included in the plan and honored.
• Lead the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to create care plans that meet resident needs.
• Delegate care plan tasks to team members per licensure and Nurse Practice Act guidelines.
• Supervise care delivery to ensure compliance with facility policies and standards.
• Participate in direct care delivery.
• Evaluate outcomes of care delivery.
• Adjust the care plan based on outcomes.
• Counsel and coach employees with performance discrepancies.
• Document care and file reports electronically and on paper as required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse leads the team in providing and providing excellent holistic, resident centered clinical care and habilitative support in activities of daily living, using servant leadership. Leads in accordance with the current federal and state regulations and JCAHO standards

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Assesses residents daily and upon change in condition to determine resident holistic health status and to identify unmet needs.

• Determines resident choices regarding care and assures they are incorporated in the plan of care, known to the employee, and honored.

• Leads the interdisciplinary team (IDT) in creating comprehensive resident care plans that effectively meet resident needs.

• Delegates the completion of the care plan work to team members according to their licensure experience, and expertise using the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.

• Supervises the delivery of care to assure it is being delivered according to the facility policies and standards of care.

• Participates in care delivery.

• Evaluates the outcomes of the care delivery.

• Adjusts the care plan based on outcomes.

• Counsels and coaches employees who exhibit performance discrepancies.

• Accurately and comprehensively documents care and files reports electronically and on paper as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as RN in Massachusetts. - required
