Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Burgaw, NC seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to oversee safety and healthcare for residents at Henry’s House. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, mentor Medical Assistants, and ensure accurate medical documentation in a welcoming respite setting.

The role requires 24/7 on-call availability during respite stays, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and compassionate care. Generous benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse or any medical staff considered equivalent or higher.
• Residential or school experience preferred.
• Willingness to be on call 24 hours a day during respite stays.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and participants.
• Ability to enforce safety regulations and emergency policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and healthcare needs of participants and staff at Henry’s House.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical team and guide Medical Assistants.

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the overall safety and healthcare needs of all participants and staff in attendance at Henry’s House, which provides respite care for residents. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team, provide guidance to Medical Assistants, and ensure meticulous medical documentation is maintained for a safe and therapeutic environment. The work schedule varies, with occasional nights and weekends.
