Job summary

East Park Care Community is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents, administer medications, and supervise support staff. The role emphasizes collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and implement individual care plans and ensure high-quality care.

You will conduct daily rounds, monitor patient conditions, and report changes promptly while maintaining accurate records and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Ohio.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and applicable laws/regulations.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; ability to work harmoniously with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medications, wound care, and procedures.
• Supervise and direct STNAs to ensure high-quality care.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and performing various medical procedures.
• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned STNAs, ensuring that they provide high-quality care to residents.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure that residents are receiving high-quality care and to identify any areas for improvement.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes or concerns to the Nurse Supervisor and/or Unit Manager.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the overall quality of care provided to residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that care is coordinated and resident needs are met.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Supporting team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
