Job summary

Cfg Health System LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for correctional health care in Bridgeton, NJ. You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes.

Shifts include 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with differentials ($1.25) or 11:00 pm–7:30 am with $2.00 differential; weekends rotate. Active RN license and BLS/CPR required; correctional experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience in a correctional healthcare environment preferred.
• BLS or CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients according to nursing protocols.
• Perform assessments in intake, health care units, emergency situations, chronic care clinics, and medical units.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, appropriate, and continuous care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
• Monitor and report reactions to treatments, medications, and changes in status; maintain patient documentation.
• Promote infection control policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

RNs collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care and desired health outcomes.Correctional nurses deliver care to promote and improve overall health, often managing a patient population that has had limited access to healthcare prior to incarceration.
