Mercy is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. You’ll deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care across diverse specialties, performing assessments, administering medications, coordinating treatment plans, and educating patients and families.

You will collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• ACLS preferred depending on unit.
• Specialty certification (e.g., CCRN, CMSRN, CEN) a plus.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and treatment interventions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with the care team.
• Monitor patient status, document in EMR, and report changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards in all activities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning and improvement.
• Precept and support new nurses and nursing students as needed.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
