Carlin Springs Health and Rehab. in Arlington, VA is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to become the heart of our skilled care team.

You will deliver compassionate nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents and collaborate with therapists to support rehabilitation goals. We offer stable shifts (FT/PT), competitive pay with shift differentials, generous sign-on bonus up to $7,500, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per standards of practice and physician orders.
• Plan and monitor resident-specific nursing interventions.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate residents and families.
• Administer medications and treatments timely.
• Document progress and report changes to supervisors.
• Identify skin changes and follow care protocols.
• Coordinate rehab with therapists to meet goals.
• Ensure CNA tasks are completed daily.
• Perform additional nursing duties as required.

Shift Availability

We offer Full Time/Part-Time Day (7a–3p), Evening (3p–11p), and Night (11p–7a) shifts. Available schedules may vary based on current facility needs.

Rate of pay: $38.50 to $42.88 (plus Shift Diffs as applicable)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide nursing care to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines
• Plan nursing interventions for each resident based on individual needs and monitor the implementation
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care interventions, identify problems and trends and develop alternative interventions.
• Conduct family and resident education
• Administer medications and treatments timely and according to center policy
• Transcribe physician’s orders and chart progress notes in an informative, factual manner that reflects the care administered as well as the resident’s response
• Identify and report changes in condition to supervisor, physician and family
• Accurately identify skin changes and follow skin management protocols
• Order and report diagnostic tests timely
• Follow Pharmacy policy and procedures for ordering and delivering medications.
• Coordinate resident’s rehabilitation program with therapists to ensure rehabilitation needs are met
• Monitors that CNA documentation is completed daily
• Ensures CNA assignments are completed on time
• Perform additional nursing care responsibilities as required and based on State Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements:

• Active state RN license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing preferred
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 25 or more pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended time periods
• Team player, strong communicator, passionate about senior care
