Job summary

Nulton Diagnostic & Treatment Center in Altoona, PA is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Registered Nurse to support our medical team in our Altoona office. The role includes psychiatric intakes, medication clinic assessments, and coordinating care with psychiatrists and other providers.

The ideal candidate will meet multiple qualifications from nursing education, PA RN licensure, and psychiatric experience with a strong commitment to patient care and compliance with all required clearances.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or related human services field.
• Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric facility.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychiatric intakes for all new patients.
• See patients individually in medication clinic and determine need for Psychiatrist visit.
• Return telephone messages from patients, families, or other providers.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or related field

Current PA RN license

Minimum 6 months psychiatric facility experience

Position Description:

We are looking for a full-time PsychiatricRegistered Nurse (RN) to join our Team!

Nulton Diagnostic & Treatment Center is accepting applications for a full-time Registered Nurse to support our medical team in our Altoona, PA office.

The primary responsibilities include: completing psychiatric intakes on all new patients, seeing patients individually in medication clinic and determine necessity for patient to see Psychiatrist, returning telephone messages from patients, family or other providers, and other job-related duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, Skills, Training:

The Psychiatric Nurse shall meet the qualifications in at least three of the following bullet points:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in psychology, social work, nursing, or other related human services field.
• Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of 6 months experience work in either an Inpatient or Outpatient Psychiatric Facility.

Mental health experience preferred.

Must be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances.
