Job summary

Quadrant, Inc. is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to support the Operating Room in Fairfax, VA. The role requires 2+ years of RN experience, circulating OR experience, orthopedic case exposure, and BLS certification.

You will prepare for procedures, set up equipment, maintain aseptic technique, assist surgeons, and help ensure patient safety and efficient OR flow during surgeries.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Registered Nurse with OR experience.
• At least 2 years of RN and 2+ years circulating OR experience.
• Experience with Orthopedics and BLS.
• Experience preparing OR and sterilizing/counting instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and assist with surgical procedures
• Set up equipment
• Ensure set up of appropriate equipment depending on procedures
• Arrange instruments as required
• Anticipate needs for required materials including instruments, sponges, sutures, suction tubes and other items
• Maintain aseptic field
• Adjust operating table and equipment as required
• Prepare operative area and drapes patient or assists surgeon with draping
• Observes progress of surgery
• After operation, may apply or assist in applying dressings ,and transferring patient, from operating room to recovery room
• Cleans or directs cleaning and sterilization of contaminated instruments, equipment and supplies
• Re-sterilize unused supplies
• Clean or assist in cleaning operating room areas and caring for and disposing of infectious and soiled materials
• Other duties as assigned

MUST:

• Experienced Registered Nurse Operating Room


• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse


• 2+ years of circulating experience in an Operating Room


• 2+ years of experience working on Orthopedic cases


• Must have experience with Orthopedics


• Must have BLS


• Experience with preparing Operating Room
