Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered MRI Technologist to join the Imaging Department at the Ontario Hospital in Ontario, OH. The role performs diverse MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and adapting protocols per doctor orders while interacting with patients and staff.

The position requires ARRT Registry and Ohio licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of imaging experience. Preferred MRI Registry and CAT/MRI training enhance qualifications.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registry and Ohio licensure are required.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.
• One year of radiologic/imaging experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures and adapt protocols per patient needs or orders.
• Ensure patient safety in the MRI environment and act as the first point of contact for customers.
• Participate in CQI activities and continually advance MRI knowledge for current and new exams.

Position Overview

Performs a variety of MRI procedures. The MRI Technologist is responsible for adapting MRI protocols for patients’ needs or doctor’s orders. Functions as the first line interface with customers. Responsible for patient safety while in MRI. Participates in CQI activities. Required to continually advance their knowledge of MRI and be knowledgeable of all exams currently done as well as any exams that will be added with additional technological advancements in the future.

Required:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Registry and Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure.
• BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
• One year of radiologic/imaging experience.

Preferred:

• MRI Registry
• Specific experience and training in CAT/MRI.
