Job summary

Shared Hospital Laboratory Inc. (SHL) is seeking a Registered Technologist in Microbiology for the Shared Hospital Laboratory in Ontario.

The role involves performing routine duties and complex procedures, while maintaining quality standards and patient safety in a fast-paced lab environment. Qualifications include CMLTO Microbiology registration and 6 months bacteriology experience, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) in Microbiology is required.
• At least 6 months of Bacteriology experience preferred.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of Total Quality Management System and apply this knowledge to ensure release of high-quality results.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all routine duties and special procedures in Microbiology.
• Report to the Operations Manager of Microbiology and support the lab's quality systems.
• Engage in ethical conduct and uphold SHL’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
