Job summary

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central Virginia, is seeking a Registered Medication Aide & CNA to join our team on the full-time night shift (7P-7A). The role includes administering medications under supervision, taking vital signs, and assisting memory care and assisted living residents.

Responsibilities include escorting residents, reporting changes to the charge nurse, and maintaining infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Valid VA State CNA license is required.
• Registered Medication Aide license is required to administer medication.
• Two to three years of dementia care experience preferred.
• Influenza vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine recommended.

• Take and record vital signs and report abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse.
• Escort/transport residents to various facility locations.
• Administer medications to residents under supervision of a licensed nurse or pharmacist.
• Administers prescribed medications (oral, topical, and insulin injections) as scheduled.

Perform a variety of resident care tasks in the Memory Support and Assisted Living Unit under the direction of the Administrator.

• Take and record vital signs and promptly report abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse.

Requirements
