The successful candidate will hold Virginia RMA certification, preferably CNA certification, and have prior experience in long-term care or residential settings.

Qualifications

• Active RMA certification in Virginia is required
• CNA certification is preferred
• Experience in long-term care or residential care setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medication administration protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and with a care team
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
• Document medication administration and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Monitor residents for medication side effects, adverse reactions, and overall well-being
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper storage and handling of medications
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide compassionate resident care
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance standards
