Job summary

Unity Health is seeking a Registered Medical Sonographer for a full-time technical role in Searcy, AR. The candidate should be a graduate of an accredited ultrasonography or radiologic technology program with at least 1 year of ultrasound experience or equivalent on-the-job training.

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required, along with flexibility for overtime, on-call duties, and disaster work. This position is safety-sensitive and requires adherence to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of ultrasonography or radiologic technology.
• 1 year ultrasound experience or appropriate on the job training to be eligible for the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty and disaster work as required by workload.
• Safety Sensitive: YES

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all dynamic ultrasound procedures.
• Physical effort includes lifting and positioning patients and equipment; may frequently lift objects heavier than 50 lbs.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to stand for extended periods.
• Majority of time spent in ultrasound laboratory with some portable examinations.
• Maintain safety standards and protect patients and staff during procedures.
