SCHEMMER ASSOCIATES INC in Omaha or Lincoln, NE is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer P.E. to lead civil design on a variety of private projects.

You will prepare design drawings and specifications focusing on grading, paving, stormwater, sanitary sewer, site and utility design, and post-construction stormwater management. The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, a valid P.E., 7+ years of experience, familiarity with local codes, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred).

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Registered Civil Engineer (P.E.).
• 7+ years of civil engineering design experience.
• Familiar with local codes and regulations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design effort on projects under supervision of PMs.
• Prepare design drawings and specifications for grading, paving, stormwater, sanitary sewer, site and utility design.
• Assist in post-construction stormwater management and erosion control.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and interact with local review agencies for permitting.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project delivery.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CIVIL ENGINEER P.E.

As a member of the engineering division, you'll lead the civil design effort on projects while working under the supervision of project managers on a wide variety of private civil engineering projects. Your main responsibilities include preparing design drawings and specifications with a focus on grading, paving, stormwater, sanitary sewer, site and utility design, post construction stormwater management, and erosion control. You will also participate in preparing construction cost estimates and interacting with local review agencies for permitting. Your high level of motivation and ability to coordinate with other team members makes you a great fit for this position

QualificationsABOUT YOU!

• You'll have a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
