Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI, is seeking a Registered EEG Technologist to perform routine, ambulatory EEG studies following established protocols and quality standards.

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, prepare patients, document studies accurately, and maintain EEG equipment while upholding infection prevention and safety standards. Must be ABRET-certified and BCLS-certified, with dedication to professional development and education of students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.)
• ABRET certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, continuous, and ambulatory EEG studies following established clinical protocols and quality standards.
• Prepare patients for testing, accurately document studies, and ensure timely routing of results for physician interpretation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment, clean and disinfect instruments, restock supplies, and coordinate equipment maintenance as needed.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to infection prevention and safety standards.
• Apply knowledge of EEG waveform recognition, neuroanatomy, physiology, the International 10-20 System, and patient assessment to produce high-quality diagnostic studies.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, maintain required credentials, and support the education of students and fellow healthcare professionals.
