Job summary

Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Syracuse, NY, seeks a Registered Dietitian (RD) to assess residents, develop care plans, and coordinate nutrition needs. RD-eligible candidates will be considered. Daily Pay is available through a trusted provider to access earnings quickly.

The role requires degree in Nutrition or Dietetics and strong interpersonal/leadership skills, with proficiency in EMR and dietary computer systems. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Dietitian
Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills
Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
Computer literacy and proficiency with EMR software and computer-based menu systems

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor residents' nutritional status and develop care plans
Evaluate nutrition needs, skin breakdown, and weight issues
Coordinate procurement of nutrition supplies with outside vendors
Monitor meal service to ensure diet modifications are followed
Educate residents, families and staff on nutrition concepts and diet modification
Routinely evaluate diet care plans for quality of care
Meet weekly with interdisciplinary team to review plan of care
Work with Speech-Language Pathologist to provide dysphagia diets
Review menu changes to follow policies and guidelines
Update diet orders and menu changes in computer software daily
Supervise dietary team to ensure resident care
Conduct audits of nutrition care areas for quality and compliance
Ensure facility complies with weight monitoring regulations
Communicate with interdisciplinary team daily to provide quality care
