Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking a Registered Dietitian Supervisor to lead the nutrition team and provide patient-focused clinical nutrition care at Winter Haven Hospital.

You will coordinate the Food & Nutrition Department with Nursing and physicians, develop procedures, and oversee interviews, scheduling, training, payroll, and performance reviews. A strong regulatory and infection-control mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition or related field required.
• Registered Dietitian (CDR) and Florida licensure (or attainment within 6 months).
• Master's degree preferred; graduate degree required for those not credentialed by 12/31/23.
• Board Certified Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tasks of the Registered Dietitian.
• Provide clinical nutrition assessment and care for patients.
• Liaise between the Food & Nutrition Department, Nursing Services, patients and physicians.
• Develop and implements policies and procedures to integrate the department and ensure quality care.
• Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, payroll time-keeping and performance appraisals.
• Works with Manager on disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Communicate service delivery to ensure infection control and regulatory compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervising the tasks associated with the Registered Dietitian.
• Provides clinical nutrition assessment and care for patients.
• Acts as a liaison between the Food & Nutrition Department and Nursing Services, patients, and physicians.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures that facilitate the integration of the department to ensure quality care and services.
• Performs team member responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring, selecting, schedules, training, payroll time-keeping and performance appraisals.
• Works in conjunction with Manager in relation to disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Communicates to others a clear understanding of the service delivery system to maintain quality controls ensuring compliance with infection control and regulatory requirements thus meeting the needs to both internal and external customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required : Bachelors - Food & Nutrition / Related Field
• Preferred : Masters - Food & Nutrition / Related Field (Effective January 1, 2024, a graduate degree is required for those not initially credentialed by 12/31/23)
• Required : Registered Dietitian through CDR and licensure through the State of Florida, or attainment of state licensure within 6 months of employment.
• Preferred : Board Certified Specialist via CDR or other professional group
