Position Overview

The Registered Dietitian coordinates a plan of care for enteral therapy patients, including reviewing clinical documents, therapy prescriptions, screening for nutrition risk, conducting assessments, performing Medicare reviews, formula calculations, providing follow-up and enteral support, and participating in clinical projects as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Essential Job Functions

• Support tube-fed patients remotely at home.
• Work independently with clinical judgment within scope of practice.
• Conduct nutrition screening, assessments, and reassessments.
• Complete clinical reviews for Medicare eligibility and billing forms.
• Coordinate with medical team regarding insurance and documentation.
• Review clinical documents and prescriptions.
• Calculate formula prescriptions.
• Respond to patient questions, troubleshoot, and provide nutrition recommendations.
• Document interactions in Brightree software.
• Assist with projects like formula pricing, coding, and reimbursement issues.
• Maintain necessary skills and licensure.
• Submit accurate time and attendance records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Nutritionist or Dietitian.
• Current license from the CDR.
