Job summary

The Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Maryland will join MedStar Health Partner for a medical weight loss program focused on obesity and chronic diseases within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model.

You will provide medical nutrition therapy, develop nutrition care plans, and engage patients through behavior-change strategies alongside a full care team of NPs, trainers, and behavioral health specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition and RD/RDN certification required or eligible.
• Active Maryland dietitian license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and patient engagement skills with obesity-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients with obesity and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and ongoing patient counseling
• Engage patients in behavior change and long-term lifestyle modification
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (NPs, fitness trainers, behavioral health)
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
• Educate patients on evidence-based nutrition strategies
• Support patient adherence through motivational interviewing and coaching techniques

• Salary: $68,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)

Qualifications
