MedStar Health, in partnership with CoreLife, is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Maryland to join a medical nutrition therapy team focused on obesity and chronic diseases within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model.

This role emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered care beyond traditional outpatient nutrition and offers the chance to work with nurse practitioners, fitness professionals, and behavioral health specialists to achieve lasting health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Active RD/RDN certification or eligibility through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current Maryland Dietitian License (or eligibility to obtain).
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
• Passion for working with patients managing obesity and chronic disease.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients with obesity and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and ongoing patient counseling.
• Engage patients in behavior change and long-term lifestyle modification.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (NPs, fitness trainers, behavioral health).
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Educate patients on evidence-based nutrition strategies.
• Support patient adherence through motivational interviewing and coaching techniques.

• Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
