Carle Health is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to deliver medical nutrition therapy and educational programs for ambulatory patients. You will assess nutritional needs, create care plans, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff to support patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, education development, and participation in a dynamic healthcare team within a leading Illinois system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field.
• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Registered Dietitian (CDR) certification is required.
• 1+ year of dietitian experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the patient's medical goals.
• Identify and provide age-specific nutrition counseling to meet cultural needs of patients and families.
• Evaluate, interpret, monitor and document nutritional status using standards and guidelines.
• Develop, review and implement educational materials for patients and professionals.
• Complete clinical and educational assessments on all patients.

The registered dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to ambulatory patients individually or in a group setting. The registered dietitian provides a nutrition assessment, determines and implements a nutrition care plan and intervention. Develops and implements nutrition education programs for the general public, community organizations and for medical and clinic staff.

Essential Functions

Provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the patient's medical goals. Identify and provide age specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families

Evaluate, interpret, monitor and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines.

Develop, review, update and implement educational materials to meet the needs of patients and professionals

Department Specific Job Function

Completes clinical and educational assessment on all patients.

Develops individualized teaching plans for self-management (Diet, Medication, Self-care)

Implements evidence based clinical practice guidelines for all area of nutrition education

Provides education to all patients utilizing insulin pump.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $26.1per hour - $43.59per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
