Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate patient information in the appropriate database/system.

  • Educate patients and community members about healthy eating habits.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and speak with patients to understand their health goals, dietary needs, preferences, and restrictions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health, or a related field.
  • Valid state license to practice as required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related dietary/clinical nutrition field.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary planning, and healthy eating practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate nutrition concepts clearly to patients and groups.

  • Willingness to continue professional education and stay current with developments in nutrition and dietetics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification/credential from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
  • Previous clinical or healthcare experience.
  • Experience providing direct patient nutrition counseling.
  • Experience developing patient-specific or therapeutic menus.
  • Experience conducting nutrition education sessions, demonstrations, or seminars.
