Job summary

St. James Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join their clinical team. The role focuses on managing nutrition for short- and long-term residents, including palliative care and feeding tube patients.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Nutrition, you will assess needs, provide counseling, collaborate with physicians, nursing and therapy staff, and apply the Nutrition Care Process to deliver evidence-based nutrition care.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian or RD eligible (with DI verification).
• Comfortable with enteral nutrition.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with state survey process and nutrition care regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional needs of residents by completing clinical nutritional assessments.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education for residents and families.
• Work with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care for all residents.
• Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process.
• Possess the ability to problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities effectively.
• Rotating holidays and weekend work required.

St. James Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team. This 189-bed facility is looking for a hard working and energizedRegistered Dietitian (RD) to help manage the nutrition needs of their short term, long term, Palliative Care and feeding tube residents while proudly serving their diverse community health-care needs.

Registered Dietitian (RD)Reporting to the Director of Clinical Nutrition the successful candidate will:

• Assess the nutritional needs of residents by completing the necessary clinical nutritional assessments
• Providing nutrition counseling and education for residents and family
• Working with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care is provided to all residents
• Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process
• Possess the ability to creatively problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision
• Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities
• Rotating holidays and weekend work required
