Job summary

The Monarch at Brooklyn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join a 189-bed facility and lead nutrition care for short-term, long-term, and palliative residents. You will assess needs, provide counseling, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Must be an RD or RD-eligible with DI verification; entrance to enteral nutrition and knowledge of nutrition care regulations are valued. Weekend/holiday rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD eligible with DI Verification.
• Comfortable with enteral nutrition.
• Familiarity with nutrition care regulations is a plus.
• Experience in long-term care or rehab setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' nutritional needs through clinical assessments.
• Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process in daily practice.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and independent work with minimal supervision.
• Organize clinical nutrition and patient care duties efficiently.
• Rotating holidays and weekends required.

The Monarch at Brooklyn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team. This 189-bed facility is looking for a hard working and energizedRegistered Dietitian (RD)to help manage the nutrition needs of their short term, long term, Palliative Care and feeding tube residents while proudly serving their diverse community health-care needs.

Registered Dietitian (RD) Reporting to the Director of Clinical Nutrition the successful candidate will:

• Assess the nutritional needs of residents by completing the necessary clinical nutritional assessments
• Providing nutrition counseling and education for residents and family
• Working with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care is provided to all residents
• Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process
• Possess the ability to creatively problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision
• Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities
• Rotating holidays and weekend work required

Salary: Up to $45 an hour
