We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to provide nutrition counseling for our gastroenterology practice. This is a part-time, PRN, independent contractor role with flat per-visit pay. Compensation is based on appointment length and an agreed hourly rate of $45–$65/hour (negotiable based on experience and flexibility). Position is mostly remote but requires being local for occasional office meetings, trainings, events, or consults.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nutrition counseling for GI conditions, nutrient deficiencies, and weight management
• Guide patients through physician-prescribed medical diets (low FODMAP, gluten-free, elimination, etc.)
• Make vitamin and supplement recommendations
• Conduct virtual visits and document care
• Lead patient education classes and create content

Qualifications:

• Current RD/RDN credential required
• Experience with GI nutrition, medical diets, and patient coaching
• Strong communication skills; supportive, non-judgmental style
• Comfortable with Zoom and telehealth platforms
• Must be local to our office for occasional in-person needs

Position Details:

Status: 1099 Independent Contractor

Pay: Flat per-visit fee, based on appointment length and hourly rate

Hourly rate negotiable based on experience and flexibility

Required trainings, staff meetings, and events will be paid at the agreed hourly rate

Schedule: Flexible, PRN with potential for more hours as clinic grows

Compensation Example – Per-Visit Flat Fee:

• 30 minutes: $22.50 (at $45/hr), $32.50 (at $65/hr)
• 45 minutes: $33.75 (at $45/hr), $48.75 (at $65/hr)
• 60 minutes: $45.00 (at $45/hr), $65.00 (at $65/hr)

The flat fee includes documentation and admin time — you are paid the same regardless of prep or charting time.
