Job summary

LMR Technical Group in Concord, NH is seeking a Registered Dietitian/Performance Dietitian to lead nutritional-readiness services for New Hampshire National Guard Service Members and their families. You will deliver evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy and performance nutrition counseling, developing individualized plans and community outreach to improve readiness and long-term health.

Nutrition affects virtually every aspect of military performance, from body composition and physical readiness to recovery, energy, cognitive performance, and long-term health.

LMR Technical Group is seeking a Registered Dietitian/Performance Dietitian to lead nutritional-readiness services for New Hampshire National Guard Service Members and their families.

This role goes beyond general wellness education. You will work individually with Service Members who need to meet military body-composition requirements, provide evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy and performance nutrition counseling, educate the broader force, and help military families develop practical, sustainable approaches to healthy eating.

Job Description

Develop, implement, and manage nutritional‑readiness programs supporting New Hampshire National Guard personnel and their families. The Registered Dietitian will provide individualized nutritional assessment and counseling, Medical Nutrition Therapy, body‑composition support, performance nutrition education, household nutrition planning, and force‑wide nutritional education.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional assessments for Service Members referred for failure to meet military body‑composition standards.
• Develop individualized written Body Composition "Get‑Well" plans and provide continuous nutritional counseling until applicable military standards are achieved.
• Provide evidence‑based Medical Nutrition Therapy within the Registered Dietitian's professional scope.
• Develop nutrition strategies designed to improve physical readiness, recovery, health, and Army Combat Fitness Test performance.
• Counsel Service Members regarding the nutritional aspects of meeting and maintaining Army Body Composition Program standards.
• Conduct voluntary nutritional assessments for Service Members, immediate family members, and other eligible beneficiaries.
• Develop individualized and family‑oriented nutrition plans addressing healthy eating, meal planning, grocery shopping, food budgeting, children's nutrition, and household wellness.
• Provide evidence‑based performance nutrition education to Service Members and military families.
• Apply working knowledge of AR 600-9, the Army Body Composition Program, and FM 7-22, Holistic Health and Fitness.
• Develop weekly nutrition education content covering performance fueling, healthy recipes, body composition, recovery, hydration, and other relevant readiness topics.
• Coordinate educational content with current Army guidance and authoritative nutritional recommendations.
• Partner with the Exercise Specialist to provide virtual nutrition and fitness coaching to geographically dispersed Guard personnel.
• Support joint wellness programming and organizational engagement initiatives.
• Maintain appropriate client documentation and protect all health and personally identifiable information.
• Contribute required program metrics and readiness reporting.
• Participate in unit meetings, outreach events, drill weekends, and other NHNG activities as required.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current, active, and unrestricted applicable state licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to provide evidence‑based Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling.
• Demonstrated knowledge of performance nutrition and nutritional strategies supporting physical readiness.
• Working knowledge of AR 600-9, Army Body Composition Program.
• Working knowledge of FM 7-22, Holistic Health and Fitness.
• Ability to develop nutritional interventions supporting Army Combat Fitness Test readiness and military body‑composition requirements.
• Ability to effectively counsel individuals and families and translate scientific nutrition principles into practical behavioral strategies.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and meet DoD installation and information‑system access requirements.
• Ability to travel to NHNG locations and support scheduled drill weekends and organizational activities as required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
• Experience working with tactical athletes, military populations, collegiate or professional athletes, or other high‑performance populations.
