Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a Difference
For 17 years, The Healing Connection, a nonprofit licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS OMH), has supported individuals and families in our community. As we continue to expand our continuum of specialized eating disorder care, we are looking for passionate professionals who want to grow with us and make a meaningful difference.
The Healing Connection is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dietitian who believes deeply in the role nutrition plays in eating disorder recovery and who enjoys working intensively with patients and families as part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Our Registered Dietitians are not simply providing nutrition education. They are essential members of the treatment team and play an active role in nutrition rehabilitation, individualized meal planning, therapeutic meal support, exposure work, patient and family education, treatment planning, and preparation for successful transition to a lower level of care.
The Registered Dietitian works alongside therapists, psychiatric providers, medical providers, nurses, other dietitians, and program leadership to provide coordinated and individualized eating disorder treatment.
If you are passionate about helping individuals rebuild their relationship with food and their bodies while working within a collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit organization, we would love to hear from you.

Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian provides specialized nutrition assessment, intervention, education, and therapeutic support to patients receiving treatment within The Healing Connection's Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program.
The RD is an integral member of the patient's multidisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for creating menus, supporting food preparation, assessing nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition plans, monitoring nutrition rehabilitation and progress, providing individual nutrition counseling, supporting therapeutic meals and snacks, educating patients and families, and contributing to treatment and discharge planning.
The RD works closely with medical providers to integrate relevant medical information, laboratory findings, vital signs, medications, nutrition status, and other clinical considerations into the patient's overall nutrition treatment plan.
The RD also collaborates closely with therapists and psychiatric providers to ensure that nutrition interventions are integrated with the patient's behavioral health treatment.
The goal of nutrition treatment is not simply meal-plan adherence. Our dietitians help patients work toward greater nutritional stability, flexibility with food, reduced eating-disorder behaviors, increased confidence, and the skills necessary to continue recovery beyond PHP.

Develop individualized nutrition and meal plans based on each patient's clinical, medical, developmental, and nutritional needs.
Establish appropriate nutrition goals as part of the overall multidisciplinary treatment plan.
Monitor nutritional progress throughout treatment.
Adjust nutrition plans and interventions based on patient progress, clinical presentation, medical recommendations, and treatment goals.
