University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide individualized and team-based nutritional care in the outpatient setting. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with staff, and support the Nutrition Department Outpatient Team Lead.

The role requires RD and LD licensure in Arkansas, a dietetic internship, and strong communication skills. Opportunities include teaching, patient education, and participation in hospital outreach.

Summary of Job Duties

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care individually and as part of the outpatient team. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for educating patients, family, professional staff, and students/interns. The Registered Dietitian works under the general direction and reports to Nutrition Department Outpatient Team Lead.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - Registered Dietitian

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
• Registered Dietitian (RD)
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Arkansas
• Completion of a dietetic internship
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Interviewing candidates with all levels of experience - Nutrition, LD & RD

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical experience
• Registered Dietitian and Licensed by the State of Arkansas preferred

Registered Dietitian II

• RD, LD
• 1-year clinical experience

Registered Dietitian III

• Master’s degree required or Specialty Certification required
• Precepts dietetic interns in the UAMS internship program
• 2+ years’ experience

Registered Dietitian IV

• 4 + years’ experience
• Masters required
• Specialty Certification required

Additional Information

Responsibilities
