Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation in Yakama IHS is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to provide and document medical nutrition therapy and diabetes education for patients. You will counsel individuals or groups and coordinate with tribal programs to support nutrition care, coding, and billing in line with tribal and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining care plans in WIC and IHS EHR, promoting healthy nutrition, and assisting the Nutrition Manager

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Dietetics from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.

Responsabilités

• Provides and documents MNT and diabetes education services.
• Counsel patients, individually or in group sessions, to identify and encourage opportunities for lifestyle changes.
• Coordinates with other federal or tribal programs, agencies, and community resources in order to serve as a clinical resource for nutrition care.
• Follows all related Federal, State, local and agency regulations for Registered Dietitian services.
• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest health trends.
• Provides individual nutrition counseling to high nutrition risk WIC program participants.
• Documents care plan in the WIC system and the IHS Electronic Health Record.
• Assists Nutrition Manager in evaluating program services and formulating goals and objectives to promote the health of the community.
• Reviews patient education materials.
• Develops new Nutrition or Diabetes specific materials as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
