Job summary

Montowese Center for Health & Rehabilitation in North Haven, CT is seeking a Registered Dietician on a per-diem basis. You will evaluate nutritional status and guide the culinary team to provide balanced meals for our aging residents.

This non-remote role offers opportunities for professional growth and a collaborative, compassionate work environment. The position requires active CDR registration, state licensure, and a BS in Dietetics or related field, with experience in long-term care

Qualifications

• Active registration with CDR.
• Valid state license required.
• BS in Clinical Dietetics or related field.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite, comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist food service director in managing costs, staffing, and service quality.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on nutrition requirements.
• Monitor and adjust care plans based on residents’ status.
