Job summary

Senior LIFE PACE in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Registered Dietitian to oversee nutrition and nutrition education for center members. The role requires ADA registration, a valid driver's license, and at least one year of experience with elderly populations.

The position is full-time, daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, with no evenings or weekends. Competitive benefits and 401(k) plan are offered. Travel within service area is paid where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive nutritional plans aligned with each member's care plan
• Implement nutrition-based care plans and supplements and evaluate progress
• Conduct initial intakes and ongoing dietary visits for home-bound members
• Communicate nutritional plans to physicians, nurses, family members and caregivers
• Ensure best practices in LIFE Center kitchen and food prep areas, including sanitation
• Manage and work within the nutritional budget
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and advocate for members' nutrition needs

Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian

This position oversees all nutrition and nutrition-related education throughout the center, including

• Developing comprehensive nutritional plans for each member, in line with his/her care plan
• Implementing nutrition-based care plans and supplements, then evaluating members for improvement/change
• Visiting in-home members to conduct initial intakes and dietary planning, then conducting ongoing visits/evaluation to check on progress and compliance
• Communicating nutritional plans to physicians, nurses, family members and caregivers
• Ensuring best practices are established and maintained in the LIFE Center kitchen and food prep areas, including food spoilage and sanitation
• Managing and working within the nutritional budget
• Working as part of a larger member interdisciplinary team, and serving as the voice of members’ nutrition/dietary needs
