Job description

Registered Dietitian Intensive Cardiac Rehab

A practitioner with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience in dietetics practice to be competent as a Registered Dietitian professional.

The primary responsibilities include:

1. Direct patient care through the application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP), including:

• Nutrition assessment
• Determination of nutrition diagnosis
• Development of nutrition-focused, evidence-based interventions (including nutrition prescriptions like diet/feeding orders)
• Coordination of services related to Medical Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition monitoring and evaluation

Providing nutrition counseling and education for inpatient and outpatient populations

The dietitian should confidently and respectfully collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and contribute to a culture of safe, high-quality care.
