Job summary

California Department of Developmental Services seeks a Registered Dietitian to join the STAR Acute Crisis Homes team in Northern and Southern California. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities during acute crises, focusing on nutrition, daily living activities, and independence in a community home setting.

You will work in Tulare County with in-office telework and travel as needed, contributing to person-centered care and safety in a state facility environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Must be eligible for California registration as a dietitian.
• Experience or ability to work in a state facility with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide dietary assessments and nutrition planning for STAR Acute Crisis Homes.
• Support activities of daily living and promote nutrition independence.
• Ensure safety, compliance with policies, and compassionate person-centered care.
