Compensation

Range: $29.81 - $35.50/hr (dependent on location, education, and experience).

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly individual dietary sessions and calorie counts.
• Perform dietary assessments at admission.
• Document client progress, aligning with treatment goals.
• Facilitate nutrition groups for adults and adolescents.
• Develop dietary treatment plans within a week of admission.
• Coordinate with treatment teams and medical professionals.
• Oversee diet techs and support supportive mealtimes.
• Collaborate with the dietary director to ensure quality nutrition services.
• Advise clients on food choices and refeeding hazards.
• Implement dietary exchange patterns based on portion and caloric guidelines.
• Lead family sessions and therapeutic meals as appropriate.
• Maintain communication with medical and psychiatric staff.
• Engage with family members regularly, including adolescents' parents.
• Participate in on-call rotations (residential care only).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with accredited dietetic internship.
• Preferred one year of dietary counseling experience.
• Must be registered/certified in the state; candidates eligible for registration are considered.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition and mental health dietary interventions.
