Qualifications

• RD and LD certifications required
• Dietary Tech certification required
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Solid knowledge of nutrition principles
• Ability to educate residents and groups on nutrition

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' health needs and diet, and counsel on nutrition issues
• Develop meal plans considering cost and residents' preferences
• Explain nutrition issues to residents and staff
• Promote nutrition education through talks and group sessions
• Keep up with current nutrition research
