Job summary

Avita Health System's Galion Hospital is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join the Food & Nutritional Services team. The role involves patient nutrition screening, care planning, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers.

You will advise patients and families on nutrition, contribute to quality initiatives and education materials, and participate in committees. A commitment bonus up to $7,500 is available and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this

Qualifications

Registered and licensed Dietitian required.
Limited Permit Holder with licensure obtained within six months of hire required.
Preferred: Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Screen patient nutritional status and assess medical data to develop care plans.
Counsel patients and families on special nutritional requirements.
Coordinate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and other healthcare personnel as appropriate.
Contribute to quality assurance, menu development, patient education materials, standards of care, and staff training.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our Food & Nutritional Services Department at our Galion location .

Position Overview

Serves as the Food & Nutrition Services Department representative in patient care nutritional activities. Screens patient nutritional status, assesses laboratory values and other pertinent medical data, develops appropriate care plans, monitors the nutritional status of patients, counsels patient and/or family on special nutritional requirements, consults with other healthcare personnel (physician, nurse, pharmacist, social worker, etc.) as appropriate. Involved in matters relating to quality assurance, productivity, menu development, manual(s) coordination, patient education materials, standards of care, patient food review, participation on appropriate hospital committees, planning, and employee/staff training.

Qualifications

Required:

Registered and licensed Dietitian.
Limited Permit Holder with Licensure obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred

Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
One year of clinical experience.
