Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutritional care within the Dietary Management department at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. The role emphasizes Nutrition Care Process, individualized care plans, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to promote healing.
You will assess, design care plans, determine nutrition interventions, document in EMR, and serve as a preceptor for dietetic students, with opportunities for education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics is required.
- Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD).
- Must have CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist).
- 2 years in clinical dietetics in acute care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nutrition care using the Nutrition Care Process across patient populations.
- Complete clinical nutrition assessments and create care plans.
- Identify risk factors and develop nutrition diagnoses and interventions.
- Calculate enteral and parenteral nutrition formulas.
- Document data and progress in the EMR.
- Provide nutrition counseling considering cultural and religious factors.
- Precept and mentor dietetic students and support orientation.
