The Murray-Calloway County Hospital is seeking a licensed dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy to oncology patients at the Regional Cancer Center. You will consult with medical and radiation oncology patients per referral and contribute to cancer committee and community programs to uphold ACS CoC nutrition standards.
This role includes part-time acute care coverage and weekend on-call rotation, with responsibilities expanding to education and support for patients and families.
In the Regional Cancer Center, the dietitian will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to oncology patients, family member/ support person to help meet individualized nutrition goals. The dietitian will consult with both medical and radiation oncology patients per referral and as needed. This role will also be active in the Cancer Committee and community programs to meet the nutrition standards for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Acute care coverage will be part time and as needed with placement in the rotation of the weekend on-call schedule.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in the field of food and nutrition sciences. Completion of Accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Minimum Work Experience: One year work experience preferred.
Required Licenses: Dietitian and Nutritionist
Current Kentucky Dietitian license or RD eligible, applying for license. Must pass the Commission of Dietetic Registration Examination within 6 months of employment.
