Job summary

Medix is seeking a Registered Dietitian to serve as Community Nutrition Manager, leading nutrition and community health programs, building healthcare and community partnerships, and guiding initiatives that improve access to nutritious, medically appropriate food.

You will supervise program staff and 1–2 interns, manage grants and reporting, and travel among partner sites and community settings. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes impact, collaboration, and program growth.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in community health, nutrition programming, healthcare partnerships, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience leading people, programs, or projects.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, expansion, and execution of community nutrition and health programs, including the Ready to Nourish™ initiative.
  • Manage programs, projects, timelines, deliverables, grants, and reporting.
  • Build relationships with healthcare organizations, community partners, agencies, and community leaders.
  • Help advance Food Is Medicine initiatives and demonstrate how nutritious food access can improve health outcomes.
  • Use data and metrics to track program performance and communicate impact to leadership, funders, and partners.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Agency Services, Marketing, Community Resources, Garden & Farms, and Community Kitchen teams.
  • Supervise and develop program staff and 1–2 interns.
  • Represent the organization at community and health-related events and networks.
  • Train, present, and engage with partners and community members.
  • Jump in where needed—this is a hands-on leadership position.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + 10% Annual Bonus | Full-Time | Monday–Friday

What We’re Looking For

Monday–Friday | Core hours: 9:30 AM–4:30 PM

You’ll work an 8-hour day around the core hours, with an opportunity to wrap up around 3:00 PM on Fridays.

This is an active, community-facing position with travel between TAFB locations, partner sites, and community settings. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance are required. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
