About Bariendo
Bariendo is on a mission to cure obesity. Founded by Harvard Medical School professors, we are pioneering quick, non-surgical weight loss procedures that are 7x safer than surgery and more effective and affordable than the best medications. Our digital health platform combines telehealth, distributed clinics, and an expert care team in endoscopic weight loss to deliver lasting, affordable results for the 40% of Americans struggling with obesity.
We’re growing rapidly—now in 8 cities after just 6 quarters of operations—with a vision to become the one-stop shop for obesity management, offering the most comprehensive set of interventions available online and via our distributed partner clinics. Join us to help patients reclaim their lives.
About This Role
At Bariendo, dietitians are trusted guides, empathetic listeners, and reliable partners in one of the most personal and transformative journeys a patient can take. You’ll join a care team that leads with compassion and moves quickly at the frontier of obesity care in order to improve thousands of lives. We’re looking for a patient-centered Registered Dietitian who is clinically strong, emotionally grounded, bilingual in Spanish and English, and passionate about redefining how we treat obesity.
In this role, you will:
- Practice Personalized, Empathetic Care — Conduct thoughtful, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle assessments over Zoom, meeting each patient where they are—emotionally, culturally, and clinically.
- Individualize Plans — Design tailored meal plans and behavior strategies grounded in bariatric best practices and a deep understanding of each individual’s goals and barriers.
- Build Community — Lead high-impact virtual workshops and patient education sessions that make patients feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
- Monitor Progress — Use EHRs, connected devices, and regular check-ins to track outcomes, address setbacks with empathy, and continuously adapt care. Maintain detailed records that reflect your commitment to structured, high-quality documentation.
- Collaborate With a Research-Driven Teamwork — Partner closely with clinicians, care coordinators, and product teammates to deliver holistic obesity treatment. Stay current on emerging research and actively share insights to help evolve our model.
What We’re Looking For
- Clinically Certified — 3+ years of experience as an RD/RDN in bariatric, metabolic, or weight-management care. Bachelor’s or higher in Nutrition or Dietetics, with active RD or RDN certification.
- Fluent in Spanish — Full professional proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish is required to support our bilingual patient population.
- Tech-Savvy & Startup-Ready — Comfortable with EHRs, telehealth tools, and digital care workflows. Thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoy being part of a growing team.
- Warm, Motivational Communicator — Empathetic, engaging, and emotionally grounded—you know how to build trust, coach with compassion, and drive behavior change.
- Central Time Zone Aligned — Able to work core Central Time hours. Open to candidates across the U.S., with preference for TX, CA, MI, FL, NY, SC, GA, or DC.
What Makes This Job Amazing
- Mission — Join a team of Harvard Medical School professors and healthcare innovators transforming thousands of lives. Watch our patient’s stories.
- Integrated Clinical Team —Collaborate closely with physicians, dietitians, and behavioral health experts in a high-functioning, multidisciplinary model that puts patients first.
- Foundational Role in a Growing Startup —Be part of a fast-growing, mission-oriented team. Collaborate closely with teams like Product to help shape and innovate our virtual care experience.
