Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join its Early Childhood Services team serving Massachusetts and Connecticut. You will coordinate treatment, conduct nutrition assessments, develop individualized nutrition plans, and provide nutrition education to families and staff.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, maintain accurate records including IFSPs, and handle billing documentation. This role requires professional standards adherence and active participation in team

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nutrition required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist by the Connecticut Board of Registration /Division of Professional Licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outreach services to children and families in relation to nutrition related issues.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments, review individual child and family nutrition and develop individual nutrition plans.
  • Provide nutrition education, training and counseling to families and staff
  • Consult with team members in the development of individualized plans and multidisciplinary services for assigned clients
  • Maintain client records completely and accurately to include IFSP’s with full assessment of client functioning and goals
  • Complete billing documentation according to schedule established by the company
  • Adhere to professional standards and guidelines according to their respective disciplines
  • Keep supervisor informed of progress of all clients
  • Meet direct service requirements based on part time or full time status, as designated
  • Adhere to provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 119, Section 51A (Mandated Reporter); report all occurrences immediately to the clinic
  • Adhere to clinical recommendations from clinical administration
  • Maintain confidentiality in all clinical matters
  • Remain compliant with billing and documentation in accordance with direct service requirement
  • Conduct visits with clients and relevant collaterals in natural environments according to the needs of the child and family
  • Lead or co-lead groups within Early Childhood standards according to program needs and design (both child and parent focused)
  • Develop group curricula for assigned groups as applicable.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision and in-service training as required
  • Participate in program development and team goals

Education

Master's Degree in Nutrition
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist licensure

Registered Dietitian: Responsible for coordinating treatment and implementing services for assigned clients as a member of a multi-disciplinary Early Childhood Services team.

Essential Functions
  • Provide outreach services to children and families in relation to nutrition related issues.

  • Provide nutrition education, training and counseling to families and staff
  • Consult with team members in the development of individualized plans and multidisciplinary services for assigned clients
  • Maintain client records completely and accurately to include IFSP’s with full assessment of client functioning and goals, documentation of client progress in the program, records of required contact with collaterals and family members, documentation of arena assessments and documentation of DPH forms and regulations regarding intake and discharge of clients
  • Complete billing documentation according to schedule established by the company
  • Adhere to professional standards and guidelines according to their respective disciplines
  • Keep supervisor informed of progress of all clients
  • Meet direct service requirements based on part time or full time status, as designated
